It invalidates the WHERE clause of the action query ADO generates to implement your updates. Deja I have not seen any message where the problem with default fields has been explained well.

The *real* main causes of this error are: 1: the modified fields or the values of the key fields in the WHERE clause I understand the theory.

When I add post and go back and edit records in this table I don't get this error or any other. I just want to understand what everyone getting this error with default fields is Try inserting a row leaving the column with the default value blank.

My problem is that I create an Access 2000 table with a Primary key on an Autoincrement field and several fields that have default values.

When I add post and go back and edit records in this table I don't get this error or any other.
